BAM Camp- In the Water

Last week was all about the water.
We made surf boards.

I thought this picture perfectly described what it's like to have a sibling. One thinks it funny and the other is so mad that can't see straight.

I cut the boards out of foam board. The kids colored them. Then I sprayed them with a clear coat.

Our crystals got big over the weekend.

Amelia's box was cloud dough. 1 C of oil for every 8 C of flour.

It feels soft.

Bo's box was water with blue food coloring and boats of all kinds.

I guess that smile means it fun.

Tuesday we did the boxes again.

While I filled water balloons.

I filled that entire tub with water balloons plus we had sponge bombs, foam water balls, water guns, and the sprinkler going.

Then we went swimming.

Wednesday they did boxes and we went to splash pad at the park, but I was too busy studying for my physics test to take pictures.

Thursday we went to Wildcat. They had to check the map before we walked the trail.

We found a pile of gravel and shells that washed up on the bridge during the flood last week. We collected a ton of them.

After the walk we played in the spring. It was cold, but we were so hot it felt wonderful.

We took a selfie.

BAM Camp- Caves

BAM Camp cave week is already over.

Amelia had a sandbox with some toys from the Dollar Tree.

It was fun, but very messy.

Bo's box had dirt, a shoebox cave, a Cave Dwellers Toob, and a North American Wildlife Toob.

Monday we made salt crystals. This was taken Thursday after they had some time to grow.

Bo enjoyoed it.

Tuesday we did our boxes again.

Then we painted walking sticks.

Wednesday we had a short day and it rained. Bo and Drew went swimming in the rain. Amelia and I watched a movie. Bo joined us later.

Thursday we were going to go to Wildcat and walk the trails and go into some real caves, but it POURED. Instead they did their boxes.

And their bags.

The boys went swimming again while Sis watched a movie in the tent and I did physics.

BAM Camp- Pirates

Arr matey! Pirate week was tons of fun.

We played with sand dough. I made regular play dough then added sand.

I added in stuff for an aquarium.

Bo's base was water. I added pool noodle boats ( slice of pool noodle with a straw and foam for the mast and sail), beads, coins, pirate figures, a pirate costume, and a treasure chest.

Cutest pirate I've ever seen.

Amelia had a purple box. Water, food coloring, every purple toy I could find, and later purple ice.

Tuesday we played again.

Then we went swimming.

We made popsicles with gummy bears and Sprite.

They were delicious!

Wednesday was our tent day. Thursday we did our bags.

And did our boxes again.

And of course we went went swimming.

Even Gus.

Amelia painted with a fly swatter.

Bo painted a sword. I made it with a wrapping paper tube, some cardboard, hot glue, and aluminum foil. He painted the handle.
