National Sugar Cookie Day

I created an obstacle course for Bo.

He was really proud of that summersault.

While I made lunch he played with some shaving cream.

Tuesday was national sugar cookie day. We just made normal sugar cookies and split up the dough into three bowls. Bo added some food coloring and we pulled chunks off and made them into a roll. I did it on wax paper so that it was easier to make into a roll. Then it is just slice and bake.

 I taped some markers onto the front of the trucks.

It was the best way to color I was told.

As always he played with his box as I cleaned up.

Picnics are the Best

We painted a bird house early in the morning, even before we got dressed.

I coated it in Mod Podge to help weather proof it.

For lunch I made Bento style lunches and we went on a picnic at the park across the street.

While he napped I made some joyful dough.

Mix 5 c. flour, 1 c. salt, 1 c. ultra concentrated Joy dish detergent, 1 1/4 c. water, 3 tsp. vegetable oil, and food coloring in a large bowl. Add water as needed. It is somewhat like playdo.

This week's box is cars.

 Just some beans and cars. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Day 61-67

Day 61 is me in the fall.

Day 62 is me on a ride.

Does a ride on the Ducks count?

Day 63 is luggage.

This was me going on a sleepover with my very first suitcase.

Day 64 is me at work.

Been working at the church for seven and a half years.

Day 65 is me at a park.

This at Walter Woods or Isaac Walton, which ever you prefer.

Day 66 is me in the air.

This may be why the trampoline had to be thrown away.

Day 67 is me doing something childish.

Yep, I still boogie board when I go to the beach.

Day 60

Day 60 is me at a sports game.

I went to my first professional baseball game. It was also the last year that Pujols played.

Day 54-59

Day 54 is my last vacation.

Day 55 is me with a date, which is a problem because I have never dated anyone.

Day 56 is me all bundled up.

That was the year we were out of school for 2 weeks because of snow and I built an 8 foot tall igloo.

Day 57 is me in my backyard.

Day 58 is my hair all done.

Day 59 is me at prom, which is again a problem because I never went to prom.

Lots of Sensory Stimulation

 I had Bo paint in a tray.

I laid a paper on it and it made this pretty design.

Bo and Drew played in shaving cream on the counter.

Drew went to get a haircut with his stepdad and while they were gone Bo played with his box and we had a dance party. Our two favorites are Shake Your Sillies out  and I Like to Move it Move it.

No pics, but I also made Oobleck. I dumped some cornstarch in a bowl and just added water until I thought it looked good. I've done it so many times I no longer measure. Bo's mom is now assuming that I will need cornstarch every week. Summer of the Cornstarch!

Lots of Paint

 We used pom poms to make different fireworks today.

Looks just like the 4th of July.

Before lunch we made some cake batter rice crispy treats. Just use your normal recipe and add 3/4 C of yellow cake mix.

 I put some black paint in a bag and taped it to the table.

I gave him a q-tip and he drew pictures and I helped him with some letters.

Again a traditional summer time activity. Gotta love the sprinkler.

As always he played with his box while I cleaned up.
