Update

I know I haven't posted in quiet awhile, but my life has been pretty crazy lately. I've started watching the kids after school Monday thru Thursday. I have some pictures of stuff we have been doing. We eat lunch and read three books. Then Amelia goes to sleep. Bo either does busy bags, puzzles, coloring, iPad, or naps while I do homework. Basically I give him simple independent activities to do while I do homework. He usually sits at the table with me and is very quiet because he's an awesome kid like that. If I don't have too much homework and it's nice we head outside or to the park.

Next order of business is summer 2015. I have got BIG plans. Bo requested a summer camp so that's what we're going to do. I will give you guys the same hints I've given Bo:
     1. It is called BAM camp.
     2. Each week has a theme and accompanying songs and activities.
     3. We will be outside a ton!

We had cinnamon scented play dough.

Glow sticks in the bath tub

 PVC pip building

Bo drew a picture to go with a poem he learned at school. It was adorable.

I got an iPhone 6 and Jacob wanted to play with slow-mo.

Dry erase on a shower curtain

Valentines day cookie cutters to go with our play dough. We also had heart shaped sandwiches that day.

 We LOVE play dough.

A new favorite is bathtub crayons.

Bo and I did this one day while Amelia napped. It is all magnetic so we can do it again. The set came in a metal box and had several different plastic pages. Essential it's a magnetic color by number.

Bo loves Color Wonder. I like it because it will only color on the Color Wonder paper.

One day I brought chalk boards. Bo actually did a little reading with it. I would write a word like dog or mom and he would sound it out.

This funny kid likes to wear my keys and sunglasses while sitting in the front seat waiting to get Bo from school.

One day I had a lot of homework so we just went outside for a little while. We probably sang this song and danced around the driveway for an hour or more. Bo came up with it all on his own.

It was beautiful last week, so we spent the day at the park and went walking in the woods near my old house.

Today is Spring Break and we had all day. It was warm enough to be out, so we went to Wildcat Park. First we visited the Nature Center and rode a frog. Then we walked the short loop (Amelia did surprising well. She walked the whole thing.). Then we had a picnic and headed home. We spent close to 4 hours there. It is one of Bo's favorite "adventures".

The 2014 List!

This is my 2014 bucket list. I have picked things that older kids or teens, boys and girls, would be interested in doing. Most of them are Pinterest projects. As I complete each thing I will I will mark it off and post a picture and a link to the instructions.

Bandana Quilt- under construction

Glowing Mt. Dew - Fail! It didn't glow at all

Picture Board

Car Emergency Kit-Not pictured Just in Case, jeans, T-shirt, shorts, hoodie, blanket, more water. Kit includes water, MRE, matches, toilet paper, wipes, Germ-x, paper towels, sunscreen, bug spray, flashlight, knife, plastic gloves, duct tape, paracord, and a poncho.

First-Aid Kit Roll- under construction

Screen Print

Hand Art

Mason Jar To-Go Cup

Lake Bag- under construction

Potato Gun

Mini Catapult- I used an Instructable to make it. SUPER AWESOME!

Swiss Mint Survival Kit- under construction... I'm eating the mints

Neck Cooler- under construction

Duck Call Straws-  Flatten out one side of a straw about 2 inches. Then simply cut it into a point on that side. Finally blow into it and get this sound, which I'm not sure I would call a duck sound, but hey it's a sound.

Dream Catcher- Using embroidery floss and an embroidery hoop make a dream catcher. Separate the hoop and tie everything to the inside hoop. When you are satisfied slip the outer one back on.

String Cross

Balloon Bracelet- Take the long balloons, like the ones for balloon animals, and cut of either end. Feed them onto an elastic string and tie it up to make a bracelet.

Craft Stick Bowl- Pretty simple just hot glue and lots of sticks.

Plastic Bag Jump Rope- I cut plastic bags into strips. I made a bunch of 12 strips and tied them together. Then I divided them into 3 groups of 4 and braided. I used 4 strips per big strip. After I had 2 I tied one end and twisted them together and tied the other end. I made some duct tape handles and I'm done!

Paracord Belt

Paracord Whip- This thing cracks really well. My uncle and I can tell you that it also hurts when you whip yourself.  I got my arm pretty good and he got his neck. We both got laughed at.

Ineeda Box- Includes Chapstick, Kleenex, Advil, pony holders, Germ-X, baby wipes, lotion, bandaids, pen, note pad, sewing kit, nail care kit, and mints.

Toothbrush Roll- Worked wonderfully at Karate Camp. it hold my electric toothbrush, retainer toothbrush, toothpaste, toothbrush head, and mouthwash.

Soap Pouch- Also was great at camp. It made showering just a little quicker.

Burt’s Bee’s

Moccasins

Book Box- under construction

Read 3 Books -
King of the Wind, Conform, Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Finish my Coloring Book- under construction

Watch Every Potter Movie I watched 4 on the way to Florida and 4 on the way back.
Blow Up Car

Boaters license

Give it 100- My Page. I'm not done yet, but I'm getting there

New Duct Tape Wallet

Smoke Bombs

Summer Break has Come to an End

My hair has grown a ton this summer. I actually have enough to donate plus some.

I did keep a journal all summer. I wrote about once a week.

I took 1,263 pictures this summer, so I'm counting that as "lots".

I almost learned to juggle.

Calligraphy just wasn't for me

I didn't learn all of my brown belt kata, but I do get to test this week for my next belt so I did learn a lot.

I think I will keep doing stuff in my free time (yeah right, I'm in college). I will do my best anyways.

And here is my "after"" pic.

So that means I completed 28 of my 57 things.

Day 97-101

Day 97 is my favorite movie.

Day 98 is something I no longer have.
That was my second hamster, Teddy Bear. She lived in the furnace for 2 weeks, because she escaped and fell through the vent (old fashioned vent) we found her and she lived for another 3-4 years. She had many adventures in her long hamster life. Out of my 7 hamsters she was the best.

Day 99 is me and my friends out somewhere.
This is me and my friend at graduation.

Day 100 is my first picture on Facebook.

Day 101 is me smiling.

Bucket List Extravaganza

Ok so the geyser tube was worthless, but it was funny when it started shooting toward my brother's car.

So this was my homemade smoke bomb. It was just a ping pong ball and aluminum foil.

Really cool. I want to do it again with more sticks.

Here is my terrible looking newspaper basket.

Bo would have loved this.

This was my baseball bracelet.

Day 95-96

Day 95 is me and my friends eating.
Sorry it's blurry it's all I had.

Day 96 is me on a plane.
Well there is the plane I was on when I was 2. I can remember my sippy cup squirting the guy behind us because we didn't open it up until we were in the air and my uncle searching for me a Happy Meal because that is all I wanted to eat. I can't remember the actual vacation at all.

Day 91-94

Day 91 is me wearing my favorite color.
Red

Day 92 is me and my friends playing a game.
So I have no idea who these people are now, but I'm sure they were my friends back then.

Day 93 is my school.
Missouri Southern State University

Day 94 is my favorite board game.

Thursday, August 8, 2013

Day 90

Day 90 is me in a hotel.
Ok so I think it was technically a condo, but it was the closest I had.

Wednesday, August 7, 2013

Day 89

Day 89 is my dream car.
I would love a red Jeep Wrangler soft top.

Day 88

Day 88 is someone I've grown up with.
That would have to be my brother. We have worked on some of the world's "greatest" ideas, made some of the "coolest" clubs, and gone on the "wildest" adventures together. I feel weird when we're separated during things that we normally do together. I'm not looking forward to him going to Rolla for college. Who will lick me, poke my ears, pull my tail, crop dust me, and pick me up and run around refusing to put me down?

Bucket List Update

Ok so last week I ate an entire roll of Hubba Bubba at once. I tried to get pictures, but none of them turned out very good. It barely fit in my mouth.

I'm done with my first book and ready to start my second. I read Son of Neptune and I'm starting one for college.

I'm working on the coloring book and the book box.

I can half juggle. My uncle told me to learn two moves then put them together and I would be able to juggle. I have mastered one of the moves and working on the other.

I have 2 brown belt katas left to learn. I am maybe halfway through one.

I am able to ride a unicycle. I just have trouble turning and getting up.

I have the stuff for the smoke bomb, glow-in-the-dark bubbles, newspaper basket, baseball bracelet, Diet Coke and Mentos, earbud wrap, hair wrap, knitting, popsicle stick reaction, Harry Potter marathon, hand art, Chicago scrapbook, trampoline guy, and glowing Mountain Dew. Aiming to do some of that this weekend.

I have some of the stuff for screen printing, the time capsule, milk jug igloo, Hogwart's letters, and mail hug.

I doubt I can get all of this done before school starts on the 19th. So since the official last day of summer is September 21 I will try to get it done before then.

I don't think I will get the paint fight, bandana quilt, stone hot pad, crocheting, finger knitting, calligraphy, sign language, juggling, Chicago scrapbook, unicycle, or milk jug igloo done. Either I no longer want to do them because they don't sound fun or I just don't have time. That's not to say they won't ever happen, but they won't happen before summer is over.

Day 87

Day 87 is someone that helps me with school.
My mom helps me study vocab, Spanish, proofs papers and brings food to my room when I'm too busy to eat.
